One of my favorites spots for a quick nature get-a-way is Auburn State Recreation area. It is good for a nice gentle walk or some strenuous hiking based on what trail you want to make your way down. There is so many different nature opportunities in this area, I’m still discovering new things.
Right now under the Foresthill Bridge, wildflowers are beginning to bloom. I saw about eight different varieties. A recent discovery was this very unique flower that I’ve never seen before…kinda looks like an alien sticking its tongue out at you. You be the judge!
